Sunday School
Five classes are offered each Sunday at 9:45 to help children grow in the faith and understanding of Jesus.

• Nursery
• Pre-School
• K-1
• 2nd-3rd grade
• 4th-5th grade

Children's Music Camp
A music camp for children 8-12 was held June 13-28.  The musical learned and performed was A Technicolor Promise, which teaches the story of Noah.  34 children particiapted in this second summer music theatre camp.

Vacation Bible School
From August 15-19, 2011 SUMC hosted "Shake It Up Cafe" for 52 children.

Fall Festival
Offered on a Saturday before Halloween, this free event offers the children of the church and surrounding communities with an alternative to Halloween and Trick-or-Treating by providing a fun day of games, crafts, costume contests and refreshments in the context of a Christ-centered atmosphere.  The 2012 event will be October 27.

Acolytes
Children 8-16 years old experience Christian service and participate in worship by lighting the candles at both Sunday morning services.

Children's Church
On the fourth Sunday of each month from August through May children at the 8:30 Sunday morning service will be excused from the sanctuary during the second half of the service for a special time of worship and learning.

Cherub Choir
From September through May, children from 4-7 years old sing with the Cherub Choir one Sunday a month at either of the worship services.  Rehearsals are held Thursdays from 6:30-7:15 pm.

Junior Choir
From September through May, children from 8-12 years old sing with the Junior Choir one Sunday a month at either of the worship services.  Rehearsals are held Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 pm.
