Passion Play

A live drama portraying the last week of Jesus' life, his death and resurrection, is sometimes presented for the church and the community on Good Friday evening and twice on the Saturday before Easter. 

DVD

Three movies have been produced by SUMC and are available for purchase through the Church Office.  We encourage parishioners to give these movies to others as an evangelistic outreach.

• Produced in 2009, The Great Awakening tells of the various trials and joys involved when a church decides to do an Easter play, with results no one could have imagined or predicted.
• An evangelistic search for faith is the theme of The Christ of Christmas, a movie filmed locally by members of the congregation for public release and distribution.  The premiere showing of this film occurred during worship on November 21, 2010.
• Resurrection, based on a true death-experience story, will premiere on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 7:00 pm, in conjunction with a concert of sacred music by Squire Parsons.

Shipments of Bibles overseas are made periodically to help spread the Gospel in our lands.
