Financial help is available, both through the church and through Central PA Conference. Camp brochures (with an application inside) are available near each door to the sanctuary. Don’t delay; register now and get your first choice of camp! For help in choosing a camp, or if you have questions about camp, please contact Joni Robison, 993-6690, jonirob@verizon.net. SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIP HELP NEEDED: A sincere thank you to those who have made donations to the summer camp scholarship fund. The fund currently has about $800 in it, but more donations are needed. We’d like to be able to pay between $105 and $125 for EVERY person who wants to attend a week of camp. (Additional help is available through the campership program of the Central PA Conference.) Why not consider a gift in memory or in honor of a loved one? Checks should be made payable to SUMC and designated “camp scholarships.” For more information or if you have questions about specific camping opportunities (or would like to be a volunteer at camp!), please contact Joni Robison, 993-6690, jonirob@verizon.net. Thank you very much!
Vacation Bible School is a critical mission outreach program for the children in our church and community. This year, SUMC is hoping to present a VBS program based upon the Veggie Tales Movie, “The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything”, June 14-18, 6 – 8:30 PM. Volunteers are urgently needed to commit to participate. Key lead positions include: 6 “station captains”, 6 “station first mates”, adults and youth to serve as “crew members” to lead the children to the stations, a “Commodore”, worship leader, worship team members (youth) and tech crew for the opening and closing programs each night, and registrars. I know there are many out there who have assisted with VBS in the past. We need to have the leadership positions filled by the end of March or the program will not be able to be developed in time. Please search your hearts and pray for God’s leading. Volunteers will need to participate in Safe Sanctuary Training which will be held in late April or early May. Please call Janet Cochran, 717-858-8588 for more information. THANK YOU!

Dorcas Ministry News
Donna Kay Campbell is a church and community worker at Syracuse Westside Urban Mission. This is her message in the Prayer Calendar: “The 20 plus children in the Sunday school class all shopped for their caregivers in our Christmas store. Nice gifts were donated by people from the Syracuse area. The children were aided by a wonderful team of volunteers with their shopping. The volunteers think wrapping packages is great fun and they helped each child carefully wrap their presents. The joy and excitement of the children was evident as they expressed pride on finding something that would be loved and appreciated. This evening of noisy, messy and excited activity was a miracle of the season.”
Please send Donna a greeting/note thanking her for work in Syracuse. Her birthday is March 26th. Her address is:
