Youth Worker Movement

What a blessing our music department is to this church and community! Here is some information along with a contact person for those interested in joining any of our choirs.

bullet Cherub Choir – Director: Genie Lytle (993-3452)
 Rehearsals: Thursdays 6:30-7:15pm in 3rd/4th grade room. Rehearsals begin Sept. 14. Sing in worship once a month. Come to first rehearsal or contact Genie.
bullet Junior Choir – Director: Annamarie Paglia  (993-6432)
Rehearsals: Thursdays 7:00-8:00 pm in 5th/6th grade room. For grades 2-5. Rehearsals begin Sept. 14. Sing in worship once a month. Come to first rehearsal or contact Annamarie.
bullet Instrumental/Vocal/Soloists
 If you play an instrument or like to sing vocal solos, there are plenty of opportunities to offer your gift on special occasions. Contact David McDowell (993-2508)
bulletCompany of Praise Youth Choir – Director: David McDowell (993-2508)
Vocal rehearsals: Sundays 5-6pm, music room. Rhythm section rehearsals separately on Saturdays. For grades 6 through college age. Begin rehearsals Sept. 10. Rhythm section includes drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, and wind instruments. All youth who have vocal or instrumental talent are welcome. Also, opportunities to work with sound and lighting. Sings once a month in worship plus other concerts and spring tour. Come to first rehearsal or contact David for further information.
bullet Praise Singers – Director: David McDowell (993-2508)
 Rehearsals: Tuesdays 7:30-9pm, music room.  This group provides worship leadership each week at the 8:30 am contemporary service and performs outside of worship in other settings. Includes instrumental rhythm section.
bullet Chancel Choir – Director: David McDowell (993-2508)
 Rehearsals: Thursdays 7:30-8:30pm in the music room. Rehearsals will begin Sept. 7. This group provides anthems and extra music for the 11am service. The group also sponsors the Christmas Eve cantata which rehearses 3-4:30pm on Sundays in Nov. and Dec. They perform a variety of anthems. Music reading is helpful but not a necessity. bullet Jubellieres Handbell Choir – Director: Gloria Winemiller (993-6735)
 Rehearsals: Tuesdays 7:30-8:30pm, Sanctuary. Performs once a month. Rehearsals will begin Sept. 5. The choir needs two new members beginning in Sept. Anyone who reads music and would be interested in making lovely music, contact Gloria.

Our number one choir. Join us each Sunday in worship, using your voice to lift up praise to our Lord. There is no voice that the Lord doesn’t hear used in praise. If you play an instrument or would like to offer a vocal selection as a soloist or in a small group, contact David.
